Glaiza De Castro wowed her followers when she debuted her new haircut on her Instagram account recently.
The Nagbabagang Luha female lead star wears cropped bangs with her shoulder-length hair which gained thousands of likes from netizens.
While some believe a haircut signifies moving on from a breakup, Glaiza denotes her change of hairdo as an escape from her emotionally-packed role as Maita in her new drama series, which premiered last August 2.
The award-winning actress revealed during Nagbabagang Luha cast's Kapuso ArtisTamabayan last August 5, "Kung napanood n'yo na po 'yung Nagbabagang Luha, ako po do'n 'yung walang bangs.
Glaiza can't deny that she enjoys sporting different hairstyles.
But for her, the most beneficial effect of having a fresh, new haircut is that it lets her feel reenergized especially if she's onto the next project that requires different emotions.
While Glaiza is ready to let go of her Nagbabagang Luha character, she shared she will always be proud of this project that was successfully produced amid a pandemic.
Recalling the pre-production of the GMA Afternoon Prime series, "Nasa Ireland ako that time.
"Gumigising ako nang madaling araw kasi iba 'yung oras natin dito sa Pilipinas so, siyempre, during that time, hindi pa kami pwede magsama-sama nang personal.
In Nagbabagang Luha, Glaiza plays another iconic role that makes her a top actress.
Her role as Maita was originally portrayed by seasoned actress Lorna Tolentino in the movie version of Nagbabagang Luha, which was released in 1988.
Nagbabagang Luha airs Monday to Saturday, 2:30 p.m., after Eat Bulaga on GMA Afternoon Prime.
